Byron Scott tells one of the most interesting Larry Bird stories ever, revealing he was the greatest trash talker of all the times:

 

A lot of people don’t notice, nor they know, but Larry Bird was the biggest trash talker in the history of Basketball. Everyone though it’s Reggie, Barkley or MJ. But Larry Bird talked more trash in the court of basketball than anyone I have ever played against. 🗑️🎙️

 

I remember when playing against them, we always had to double team Kevin McHale, and I had to rotate to the corner from where Larry Bird was shooting his favorite shot.

 

You know, it was the ‘NBA Finals’ and he shot one right in my face. I mean I’m trying to block him and he wold just tell me: ‘SCOTT YOU ARE A LITTLE TOO LATE MAN, LITTLE TOO LATE’. So anyways the game goes down to the last play, and it was Celtic ball.

 

So there is Larry coming to us and he just says: “You guys don’t have to worry about any tactics, I am going to go right in that corner, they are going to set a screen for me and I am going to curl right over there AND I AM GOING TO WIN THIS GAME.” The man was literally telling us their play.

 

So they take the ball out…
