The Chicago Bears added safety Jonathan Owens to the roster this season. His wife is someone many people know. Simone Biles and Owens were married in 2023 but the couple are tired of the hatred they are receiving from fans and alike about their marriage and relationship. Biles called these fans out on Instagram, asking them to finally put a stop to the madness.
This offseason, the Chicago Bears added some depth to their safety position by signing former Packers safety Jonathan Owens. Owens is a solid depth piece, but he’s more known for being married to Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles. Owens has been the target of some online trolling and fans aren’t holding back in Biles’ comments either. Well, Biles has plenty to say to everyone who is speaking out about her husband and/or relationship.
After dominating the 2024 U.S. Classic, Biles used the moment to take to social media to address a situation that keeps coming up over and over as of late — fans attacking her husband and their marriage. It is obvious that the two are happy, yet too many people are looking to stir up trouble based on an interview Owens had on The Pivot podcast last December.
On the podcast, Owens talked about how he didn’t know who Simone Biles was before the two met on a dating app. He also called himself “the catch” and that rubbed Biles’ fans the wrong way apparently. Many even put in the comment section that she was too good for him and that she should divorce him. Biles has had enough. She quickly took her Instagram to send a message about her husband to her fans and anyone else who might be going after Owens.
“I’m going to quickly address this, the joke was never a joke! Y’all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband. So I’m gonna go ahead and say this one time. Respectfully, f— off. If you keep commenting or tweeting at me I’m just going to block you. Simple as that.”

Wow. She didn’t hold back. Honestly, good for her. Strangers on the internet should not be weighing in on the relationship and marriage of Owens and Biles. You can see by his actions he supports his wife and she supports him. She has been nothing but pleasant to Chicago Bears fans on social media since Owens moved south from Green Bay.

Whether you believe Owens and/or Biles, hopefully, people will just talk about their production within their respective sports from now on. Biles is on her way to another appearance in the Olympics while Owens has joined a very talented secondary. He brings some much-needed depth to the Chicago Bears roster. Owens is an undrafted free agent who has proven he not only belongs in the NFL but deserves some significant reps. We should expect to see him on the field for 35% to 45% of the snaps this season.
