Sadly: Former Colorado WR Keith Miller III dies at 23

Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Keith Miller III died Thursday at his home. He is 23 years old.

  He spent two seasons as the Texas A&M University-Commerce team captain with the Buffs from 2020-21. He had 39 receptions for 457 yards and four touchdowns in his two seasons with the Lions. Miller transferred to TAMC after participating in CU’s last postseason bid to the 2020 Alamo Bowl, a loss to Texas. Miller had 1,856 yards during his career at Colonial High School outside of Dallas. He was a big target at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, but was unable to make the transition due to COVID-19. He was good for five games, but did not see action for the Buffs.

Colorado Athletics issued a statement saying it was “deeply saddened” to learn of Miller’s death. “Keith was a member of our football program for two years in 2020-21 and is a wonderful young man in every way imaginable, father, son and brother. He will always be a part of the Buffs family and he was taken from us far too soon. “His family, his classmates at CU and Texas A&M-Commerce and all who knew him are in our thoughts. Tributes to Miller poured in on social media following his sudden death.
