The former Florida State running back transferred to FAMU

   After recently entering the portal, the former Seminole is still in Tallahassee, but with a different program.

   Florida State Seminoles The latest NCAA transfer window has plenty of surprises after players like Rodney Hill, tight end Markeston Douglas, offensive lineman Bless Harris, linebacker Malcolm Ray and linebacker DJ Lundy declared their intent to transfer from Florida State. Some speculated that if the move was an option, he would return to the Seminoles, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. On Friday afternoon, former FSU tight end Rodney Hill announced he was staying in Tallahassee to play for another program.

   Hill transferred to FAMU with two seasons left. Hill enters 2023 with 50 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown against the Seminoles. He also caught five passes for 83 yards on the season. He had a career-high five carries for 42 yards in a September win over Boston College.

   The Georgia native spent two years as a member of Florida State’s running back rotation. He was expected to play a major role in the show’s third episode, but decided to join the portal instead. Hill finished his season with the Seminoles after totaling 77 catches for 334 yards and two touchdowns. FAMU finished 12-1 and lost to Howard in the Celebration Bowl under coach Willie Simmonsand#039; 6 years have passed since the start of the project.

   Simmons compiled a 45-13 overall record, including a 32-5 mark in the MEAC. The Rattlers will face FBS programs like Miami and Troy in 2024. In addition to Hill, the Seminoles have quarterback AJ Duffy (San Diego State), running back CJ Campbell (FAU), tight end Markeston Douglas (Arizona State), tight end Preston Daniel, offensive lineman and Bless Harris (TCU) and offensive lineman.

   Thomas Schrader, offensive lineman Daughtry Richardson (FAU), offensive lineman Qae’shon Sapp, defensive end Malcolm Ray, defensive end Ayobami Tifase, linebacker DJ Lundy, linebacker Dylan Brown-Turner and tight end Tyler Keltner entered in the goal Quarterback Patrick Payton previously said he wanted to, but that comment was deleted on social media and has not yet officially appeared in the database.
