Former MLB pitcher Danny Serafini has been arrested for murder

ย  ย Former Major League Baseball pitcher Danny Serafini was arrested in Placer County, Nevada, USA, in connection with a murder that occurred in Lake Tahoe, California in 2021.

ย  ย Serafini was arrested Friday morning, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. .ย What happened to Danny Serafin? Serafini spent seven years in the big leagues from 1996 to 2003, when he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins. Now 49, he was detained on Friday morning after he was declared to be a person of interest in relation to the murder of Robert Gary Spohr. Also arrested was Samantha Scott.

ย  ย The sheriff’s office claims they know each other, though Serafini was arrested in Winnemucca and Scott in Las Vegas. Serafini and Scott will now be extradited back to Placer County, where the 2021 murder of Robert Gary Spohr took place. What happened to Robert Gary Spohr? Spohr was found dead in a North Lake Tahoe home with a gunshot wound in June 2021. Spor’s family believed he was specifically targeted, as did his wife, Wendy.ย 

ย  ย We still don’t fully understand the killer’s motive,” said daughter Adrienne Spohr. “Someone came here to kill my mother and father.” The family put up a reward for more information and now, two years later, police believe they are closer to solving the case.
