Aston Martin and McLaren have been on different tracks during the current campaign, with the latter moving up from fourth place recently. Aston Martin team principal Mike Krack has expressed his belief that his team can finish the season ahead of McLaren.
Aston Martin made a strong start to the campaign with six podiums in the opening eight races. But its form has dipped in recent weeks, while McLaren have made a strong comeback at the back of the field since the start of the season. Most recently, the Woking team achieved their first double podium of the season at the Japanese Grand Prix, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri crossing the line in second and third.
The gap between the two teams is now 49 points in favor of Aston Martin – but that gap has narrowed in recent weeks. “We need to increase performance” Although Krack is on the back foot, he has backed his team to provide the momentum needed to stay ahead of McLaren for fourth in the standings.
