George Russell’s Singapore Grand Prix ends in misery as the Mercedes driver FINALLY crashes on the LAST lap to overtake second-placed Lando Norris. 

   Carlos Sainz took his second F1 win at the Singapore GP on Sunday  George Russell was third and challenged for second on the last lap  He then hit the wall, making third place a DNF

   Mercedes driver George Russell saw his Singapore Grand Prix take a brutal turn on Sunday when he crashed into a barrier on the final lap.

   The 25-year-old raced hard to reach the podium after a late pit stop and finished third on the last lap. He was within a second of Norris but ran into the barriers in the second sector on his final lap while passing.

   His teammate Lewis Hamilton overtook the crashed car for third, but Russell was unable to finish the race. Russell could be heard yelling “no!” on the radio when his race ended prematurely.
