Verstappen, just a two-time champion at the time, took pole in qualifying in Lusail on Friday evening before securing his third crown in the sprint on Saturday.
The three-time champion is joined by George Russell in the front row, with Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso lurking in the second row.
